United States: Donald Trump will visit the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Monday following his removal of leadership and subsequent chairmanship role aimed at implementing presidential changes at this prestigious arts institution, as reported by Reuters.
Board Session at the Kennedy Center
As one of the many policy disruptions since his presidential inauguration on January 20, Republican leader Donald Trump held a board session at the Kennedy Center.
Trump said, “We have to straighten it out” during his Air Force One presidential flight back from Florida to address a cultural organization that traditionally gained support from both Republicans and Democrats.
Trump took the Kennedy Center chairmanship last month before he discharged President Deborah Rutter from office. Trump put his former diplomat Richard Grenell in charge of the Kennedy Center as interim president after replacing its longtime executive Deborah Rutter.
During his first term, Trump missed the Kennedy Center Honors ceremonies and objected to drag shows that were staged there while planning to revamp its board membership.

Artists Cancel Performances in Protest
Artists started canceling their scheduled performances because of these new alterations. The musical “Hamilton” decided to cancel its scheduled third Washington performance for 2020.
“The recent purge by the Trump Administration of both professional staff and performing arts events at or originally produced by the Kennedy Center flies in the face of everything this national cultural center represents,” the show’s producer, Jeffrey Seller, said in a statement on X.
Grenell criticized Lin-Manuel Miranda, the show’s creator, and referred to the choice as “a publicity stunt that will backfire.”
“The Arts are for everyone – not just for the people who Lin likes and agrees with,” Grenell said on X.
